I began Writing Worcs after 25 years in communications roles, including marketing, public relations and, of course, copywriting.

During that time, I was fortunate enough to work with some fantastic brands, like the BBC.

You’ll probably know that the BBC is one of the most respected broadcasters in the world. And that its success is based on creating and sharing content its audiences love.

That’s quite a simple philosophy.

So, being quite a simple soul, I thought I would do something similar.

On a much smaller scale.

So, I will learn about your business. Then I will learn what you want to do. Then, if you want me to go ahead, I will create and share the messages that help you achieve your ambitions.

As I said, it’s quite simple.

I have written virtually every type of content. As a busy press officer, I regularly wrote press packs and releases for journalists.

I have written speeches for senior leaders at companies including Triumph.

I have worked as editor of magazines, including Jaguar Land Rover’s award-winning Teamtalk and Aston University’s monthly magazine.

I have written tons of brochures for companies like Oakwrights. This Herefordshire-based company builds to-die-for oak-framed houses across the UK. So, obviously, its brochures are also pretty swanky.

You won’t be surprised to learn I have also written a lot of web copy. Copy for small enterprises, like letsgoludlow.com and idcreativedesign.co.uk; copy for medium-sizers, like Little Soap Company and Worcestershire County Council; and copy for big corps, like Sainsbury’s, BT, EE and Lloyds Banking Group.

I have worked in-house, in a multi-award-winning agency and am now freelancing. I have worked in academia (for depts of Aston-, Birmingham- and Oxford universities), on building ‘sites’ (for Redrow, St James Quarter in Edinburgh and Laing O’Rourke) and in the motor trade (Triumph, Jaguar Land Rover and Fiat).

Oh, and before writing (yes, I am ancient), I worked as a chef. So, when it comes to food, let’s just say I know my artichoke from my endive. So, if you need a restaurant review, a celeb chef interview or a blog people want to lick, drop me a line.

It’s free to chat. So, get in touch to discuss your next project.

Thanks for reading.
